Unfortunately the way we farm has gone against nature instead of working with nature. Leaving the soil bare is the worst as carbon is emitted rather than stored. Using chemicals kills the living organism that is soil and turns it into “dirt” which doesn’t absorb water, blows away as dust, and is carried away by rain. The food grown from what is left does not nurture us. Regenerative agricuture is the answer but does anyone in charge care?
